# The Ownership Network Thesis

> Hazels begins with the NFT, but the long-term product is the network that ownership can coordinate.

Most NFT collections begin with a digital asset and ask what utility can be added after mint. Hazels starts from the opposite direction. It treats verifiable ownership as a network primitive: a persistent credential that can coordinate identity, access, contribution and product participation across multiple systems.

That distinction matters because utility is most durable when it is not an isolated reward. A launch allocation, creator campaign, learning tool, physical release or meetup can each have independent value, but their relationship becomes stronger when the same ownership credential connects them. The wallet becomes the common point through which Hazels can recognise who is inside the network and which level of participation applies.

The Hazels thesis is therefore not that every holder must use every product. It is that every product should understand ownership in a consistent way. A creator may primarily use Pulse. A collector may care most about Drops or physical releases. A builder may use Academy. A long-term participant may stake and access the deepest utility tier. These different behaviours still belong to one verifiable network.

> **INFO:** **Hazels does not ask what can be attached to an NFT after mint. It asks what a verifiable ownership network can become over time.**

## The intended progression

1. **Character IP**

creates identity.

2. **NFT ownership**

creates membership.

3. **Wallet verification**

makes membership portable across Hazels products.

4. **Contribution**

builds reputation.

5. **Staking**

signals deeper commitment.

6. **Partner demand**

creates utility opportunities.

7. **Physical IP expansion**

extends the network beyond Web3.

This architecture allows Hazels to grow without replacing its original foundation. New products can be introduced, old products can evolve and partner integrations can change, while the NFT remains the common ownership layer that links those experiences together.
